"ZWBC" is the abbreviation for Zero Waste Basketball Campaign.


"Zero Waste Basketball Campaign" - The Hong Kong's First 🏀 Basketball Upcycling Program – Fully organized by the social enterprise "Eco-Greenergy 🦸", this initiative aims to reduce reusable materials generated by basketball activities that would otherwise be disposed of in landfills. The program includes elements such as recycling, upcycling, experiential activities, and community donations. It also provides on-site sorting, cleaning, and digital recycling data services for basketball events. The goal is to pioneer and promote a sports-related eco-culture, further advancing the practice of sustainable living ♻️.

【Product Introduction】
This upcycled card holder is crafted from recycled basketballs and surplus leather, blending eco-consciousness with functional design. The front features iconic top or bottom cuts of a basketball, preserving its original texture, while the back utilizes soft recycled leather. An inner label made from recycled wallpaper further emphasizes its sustainable ethos.

Each holder incorporates approximately 1/4 of a basketball, with the inner rubber layer removed for a distinctive texture. Its dual-slot design perfectly fits standard cards like ID cards, Octopus cards, and business cards. An added basketball leather strap in the back slot provides extra security to keep cards firmly in place.

This product was co-developed and produced in collaboration with the St. James' Settlement Jockey Club Upcycling Centre. Individuals in rehabilitation participate in the production process, meaning each piece carries social inclusion values. Choosing this product means not only acquiring a distinctive carry-all pouch but also supporting environmental regeneration and social welfare.
